It is in the tank. Its part of the fuel pump and fuel gauge module.

it's not hard to replace.

The hardest part is getting the top off the old pump housing to transfer all the bits to the new filter housing. The plastic clips are pretty tough.

One thing to watch out for is the o ring that sits in the top part of the filter, make sure you get it out along with the cap that holds it in place when changing over the filter. If you lose either, you can't buy them separately, you have to buy the whole assy $$$. Obviously with no cap or o ring you're not going to have much in the way of fuel pressure.

Thanks for your help guys, the changeover was quite smooth and simple, hardest part was removing the carpet to reach the filter. If anyone needs advice in the future drop me a pm. Cheers
