Need advice

I just sold my Skyline and wanting to buy a Corolla.

I need another month or two to have $18 K for a 2006 model Corolla hatch (Conquest) or I need another 3-4 months to save up around $20-21 K to get a 2007 model Corolla Ascent which is the latest shape.

i really like the 2007 model as it looks cool with the headlights and interior, should I wait a bit longer and buy the 2007 or cae in and buy the 2006 model? is there much difference between the two? I think they both have 100 KW engines and ABS breakes? I know that 2007 model has some extra brake assist features.

Opinions?

My first opinion is you need a more appropriate title on this thread. "Need advice" is not very descriptive.

Now... Coming from a Skyline you will be dissapointed with the Corolla grunt no doubt. The newest model is quite a bit heavier with the new 2ZR-FE 100kW VVTi engine, in my opinion "Hottest Corolla Ever" should be changed to "Fattest Corolla Ever". The 2006 model is the older ZZE122 facelift with the 1ZZ-FE VVTi engine. 2005 onwards they had a drive-by-wire throttle so the power output went down to 93kW (the 1ZZ-FE's with the throttle-cable-type throttle had 100kW).

My advice would be to get a 2005 Corolla Sportivo with the 2ZZ-FE 141kW VVTLi engine. Leather, ABS, airbags, fuel economy... The works. Faster and as well equipped as the new model.
