seat belt problems

just this morining on my way to work i noticed that the seat belt light didn't come on, and then my drivers side seat belt gets jammed and needs a good tap before the buckle goes in.

once its in and locked it's fine and it comes out easy enough, it's just going in thats the problem.

when i push in the button to release the buckle it jammes all the way down...

anyone had this trouble before?

dose anyone know how to pull the drivers side seat belt a part?

The exact same thing happened to me tonight too!!!!

I can't believe it, I would never had imagine that could go wrong! and on a Toyota Corolla?

How did you fix it please?

By the way, mine's a 2002 made ZZE122 as well.....

Try some spray lube and see if that helps it...

If not, plug the drivers belt into the passenger buckle and make sure the drivers buckle is the problem...

If so, then replace the drivers buckle...

and if you do buy a new buckle, buy a used passenger side one, because im quite sure they are interchangable, and you will know it has had less use than the drivers side.

I got a new one from Toyota Parts today for $75.00, which is not bad.

Apparently, a few people has had the same problem, they do break down....even thought it's a Toyota. :)D
