I'm trying to install a set of white LED's in my boot compartment so that when i open the boot at night, i can actually see somethign.

I want them only to come on when the boot is open.

I own a 2002 Toyota echo hatchback which doesn't have any sort of lighting in the boot at all.

Is it possible t have them come on when the boot is open or am i dreaming?

hmmm thats odd lol...go to your auto elec and ask them if they can do something...might be able to get a boot light sensor from a corolla and install it and then hook l.e.d s up to it. They should be able to sort out something

First find out if there's a pinswitch either around the door seal or on the locking mechanism. If it doesn't have one, then it's a huge hassle to have the setup you're looking for.

If there is one, it's a piece of cake.
