Background:

The Third Classic Japanese Show and Shine is now open for entries. Last year saw 164 vehicles enter this was even after re-scheduling due to wet weather. with some very spectacular and well presented vehicles. Including micro cars, the oldest was 1961 to the youngest 2004. With interstate entrants as well.

For more than 50 years the Japanese automobile industry have designed and built motor vehicles that have graced our roads and had a huge effect on the Australian economy and our every day lifestyle.

The Japanese motor vehicles have also had a huge impact on the automobile industries of the world. The car of the 60’s, 70’s and ’s and 90’s and even right up to the present day have been in the forefront of design, innovation and technology.

Queensland was the first state to ever hold a car display dedicated solely to these Classic Japanese Cars in 2006 and on the 5th October 2008 at the Bald Hills Flats at the Pine River Park at Strathpine (same location as 2006 and 2007) we will see the third Classic Japanese Show and Shine presented by the Z Car Club of Queensland Inc.

2008 will also have other clubs / groups on the organizing committee. QPDC, 7 of Clubs, Rising Sun.

Whilst entry is open to all Japanese motor vehicles, the attention is naturally being focused on, Classic Japanese cars bikes and all sorts of transport not seen on our roads in an everyday situation. Later models from 1990 to today are also welcome.

The Z Car Club of Queensland Inc.’s nominated Charity is Angel Flight Australia, which co-ordinate financially needy patients and their carers to fly free of charge to medical facilities anywhere in Australia. This charity will be the major beneficiary of the Show and Shine.

CAR CLUBS/GROUPS are invited to enter as a group, AND SET UP A DISPLAY as there will be a special trophy for the best Club/Group If you wish to do this please enter early to be allocated a large enough site location CONCOURS car will be on display as well.

Its time to get your club or your family or friends together and bring out those beauties which hide beneath the covers out for the day.

Sorry found this out just tonight whilst looking around on another forum and saw this pop up.

Don't know if anyone knew this was on or not... I hope to be there taking heaps of photos. So anyone else that is going...

I wouldn't want to miss an opportunity to take some happy snaps of your car if you are an entrant.
