transmission question

as you can probably see, i've got a 2005 camry sportivo v6 with a 4sp auto (unfortunately, but manuals are hard to come by)

when im slowing down with my foot off the accelerator at about 20-25km/h, theres a clunk when the transmission downshifts from 3rd to 2nd. i've read elsewhere that this could just be a momentary torque reversal of the output shaft as the clutches and bands engage and disengage, or just the way the computer tells the transmission to shift.

has anyone else on here had or have this problem?

i think it may just be the computer, because the shifting otherwise is smooth as a baby's bum at all speeds.

I've got a 2005 Camry Altise which has this problem. When i first noticed it I took it straight back the Dealer and asked them about it and to check the car over. They said that it was something that they had heard of before but had never encountered any damage to anything on any inspections of vehicles. I did some calling around to some service centres that specialised in toyota automatic transmissions and they backed this up.

If you're concerned about it, or if it's bothering you, go to a specialist and ask them if they'll tweak it.
