The main two materials you have for most body kits are fibreglass and ABS. In general:

Fibreglass - Lightweight, very solid, and cheaper to produce. However because it is fairly solid, it is more prone to cracking so using it as a bumper or skirt can lead to easier damage if you hit something with it.

ABS - Very durable and provides more flexibility and it has a higher impact strength than fibreglass. The main disadvantage is that it costs more to produce and it weighs more than fibreglass.

VFX - our body kits that are comming are ABS plastic.

can get sportivo 5pc fiberglass cheap landed but like Dj mentioned allot easier to crack.

Yea...This is what i thought...But I just think there's more to it than just this.

How hard would it have to be to crack a fibreglass and how much would it damage if it was an ABS?

If fibreglass is cracked, there's no way to repair it rite?

Fibreglass is actually easier to repair than ABS. Usually once an ABS body part is stuffed, it gets to the point that it's cheaper and more efficient to replace than repair.

How easily the fibreglass part can get damaged depends on it's quality. One example of how easy it is to damage fibreglass is a speedbump. If you've ever approached a tall speedbump (or even curb) and kind of hit it with your bumper, if you had just the usual ABS bumper, you would walk out finding that just the paint on it would be scraped. It would have withstood the minor impact. If it were fibreglass though, there would be a good possibility that you can crack it in half.

As well, if you're on a highway and a large stone manages to hit your bumper, if it were ABS, the stone would most likely chip the paint and bounce off. With fibreglass, you have a good possibility that it will create 'spider-like' cracks in it.

DJ has hit the hammer right on the nail

the abs you could even repair it with bit of fiber glass resin and matt or even bog depending how bad the damage is.

also seen fiber glass kits flex on highways travelling speed of 80km over.
