get an obd2 scanner and check your fuel trims. Your o2 sensor is probably dead.

2ZZ-GE is to use Iridium plugs only (says that on side of engine). I don't think the next step down will do.

Also, replace your fuel/oxygen sensor in the headers, and maybe you need a MAF clean/replacement too.

After all this, reset your ECU by disconnecting battery, and turning on headlights discharge all your caps.

turning on headlights wont do anything to discharge the caps. They're on two electrically isolated circuits.

Brake lights are not on a separate circuit?

any of the ELS triggers will not discharge the caps. If anything, actuating the TPS might do something as that's driven from the ECU's 5V output along with the MAF.

yeah even if the check engine light doesnt come on the sensors might be malfunctioning. my friends evo got a new O2 sensor and its idle is sitting on 2k RPM... b4 it use to be normal idle like just below one :) 1.8L shouldnt chew too much more than 10L/100 ??? correct me if im wrong for allex 1.8

I get ~7.5L/100km with daily traffic driving with Shell Optimax. When I was using BP, I was getting ~8.5L/100km.
