Latest mod: 1ZZ-FE (Corolla) throttle body.

The 1NZ-FE ECU can account for more airflow, so some people in the US have had success putting a bigger throttle body on... so I thought I would try it.

There is a noticeable improvement in mid-high range torque

got some new speakers for it.

They are Jaycar Precision Response, 6in Kevlar splits.

Here they are

I decided to gut the old speaker housings and use them as spacers (mostly because the new speakers fit perfectly inside them, and I'm lazy.

The speakers are held into the door with 3 rivets, which i drilled out.

all back togehter :)

Overall I am very happy with the quality of these speakers, especially considering the price I paid for them.

Hey Mick. Im curious to know where you got the jaycar splits from? As far as i know jaycar doesnt sell them anymore.

The yaris is coming along nicely. Oh yeah with the 1ZZ throttle body, did you buy it ready to fit or did you have to swap the guts over?

Cheers Mick and Andy. Will try my luck there. The one in Maddington dont have any. So i was thinking they dont sell them no more.

Doing that throttle body chip swap.. is there anything to look out for that can be damaged in the process?
