manual camry V6 sportivo (or now corolla sprotivo)

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

My little cousin is about to go out into the world and buy his first car and during the discussion the old sportivo came up! Can you still buy a nice manual sportivo, from memory it was v6 3.0 litre? did production end in 2005? any help with the engine type would be appreciated so we can jump on carsales etc and find out what they are worth.

Or even better, anyone know of 1 for sale?

thanks for your help guys and gals.....

Yep, and from memory they came in both the 2.4L 2AZ-FE and 3L 1MZ-FE.

I've driven the both, and I'd definitely prefer the V6 over the other. A 2.4L trying to pull that thing along reminisces me of a fishing boat, quite literally.

Look around, there should be quite a few of these around, but the manual variety would be quite hard to find as majority of them were autos when I was looking through them about a year ago.

I cant talk for the V6, but they are certainly a nice car. I wouldn't say the 4cyl was a fishing trawler lol, maybe more a fast ferry? But certainly I would go V6.

Manuals are hard to come by, so expect to pay top dollar I am afraid. My search only turned up one V6 manual in WA

that was a joke, mate...but on a side note, you should take notice that camry sportivo's are actually cheaper than corolla sportivo's at the moment.

both reliable

both toyota

4cyl rego less than 6, less fuel

camry more comfortable

corolla sportivo walks all over camry sportivo. 7 seconds a lap faster around the track than a camry sportivo... ouch

yes i know not everyone goes to track, just letting you know the lil sportivo rips. and bks' is top notch.

whitestivo
