How much is the toyota OEM dvd gps navigation system?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

My car is 2009 corolla ascent sedan. I want to install a dvd navigation to replace the original cd player.

I just want to ask how much it cost to install a factory dvd gsp navigation?

I found there are a lot of after market dvd gps navigation in ebay.

Is it hard to install by myself?

Is the after market system break my new car warranty?

Thanks

If you're rich and have some $$$ to spare, grab the OEM one. If I was you, I'd grab one of the aftermarket ones which will cost 3-4 times cheaper and will do the same job. Even if it dies after a while, you're still a head in terms of $$$.

Head-unit replacement is not a warranty affecting modification.

Installation can be done at home as long you get the correct ISO adapters to connect to the factory wiring harnesses. Otherwise, an auto electrician can install it for you for around $100.00

had a bloke come into work sayin he jus got a quote from toyota for the same thing but in a comry, got quoted 2000 without the harness, the harness is even dearer cause it has the nav antenna in it etc. he was much happier when we said we can do nav, bluetooth, dvd, ipod, usb for about 2k fitted.

Got Quotes $4200 for the 09 Model.

I bought this one instead. better than the Toyota one as it plays mp3 and DVD's ect has all the features in the world and is a plug and play model. No wire cutting required! :)

Hey dude,

I've been looking for a double din unit to replace the stock unit, and considering the Kenwood at the following link-

http://au.kenwood.com/Car_Entertainment/Vi...ms/DNX7340BTNAV

Just bought my levin a couple of months ago and refused to pay 3500 for the factory unit.

Does anyone have any feedback for the Kenwood units?

I have a mate who works in car audio and has recommended this unit the price/quality/features compared to Alpine or Pioneer.

Only downside there is a lot of wiring involved.

Thanks
