HI, can anyone help? I have recently bought a 1999 Camry Vienta Grande V6 auto and notice that first up on a cold morning the auto seems to linger in the lower gears for the first half to one kilometer or so till it warms up. Is this normal? Otherwise everything is really great.

Normal. :) You should try it when it's REALLY cold, lol.

Car shifts from 1-2 at over 3000 RPM's, and 2-3 shift at like 3500 RPM's untill warm.

Completely normal mate. My old Camry used to be the same. It's just so that the engine gets to running temperature faster.

Thanks for your prompt replies DJKOR and ASG14. I thought it was right but better to be sure than sorry. This is the quietest car I have ever owned along with a then new top of the range P76 V8. Not bad for a ten year old car with 17000+ KS on the clock.
