Hi everyone, my 100 series turbo diesel has started whistling heaps louder than usual at about 2000rpm, it doesnt seem to have lost and power, but when i reach around 2500-3000rpm it really starts to scream. I have tried to listen to it while the car is not moving but it doesnt seem to do it. I went and saw my mechanic and he said it doesnt seem like it is anything to worry about. But it seems strange to me that all of a sudden its starting to whistle with out anything being wrong with it? Has anyone else heard of this happening with another toyota? If so how can i fix it? and should i be driving it? any help would be much appreciated!

Cheers
