I am in need of advice .I have a Hi Ace super custom 3ltr 1KZ turbo diesel that has a smoke problem.I have just had the injectors re-conditioned & a 2nd hand turbo.Still blowing copious amounts of black smoke, especially when properly warmed up.Was scanned on diagnosis 8 months ago but nothing showed up.Have done the filters (air/fuel.oil etc) now it looks as if the injector pump is next in line.Does anyone have any other ideas? Have I forgotten anything?Would really appreciate constructive input from the wise.

Definately be looking at the injection pump. Or the pump's timing atleast. Also check for vacuum leaks and make sure the vsv's are working correctly. Black smoke indicates a fuel/mixture problem. So forget about the turbo/rings/valve stems etc.
