All he was saying in the post is how great it works with CAI compared to without it, as they SYNERGISE :P :lol::lol: I just wanted to say it once...

Cheers for that Azza, it will be interesting to see the difference between the 2 stock stivos too, it makes some more sense, but I still believe will not give you a 100% definative answer, this will require you to get 5 stock cars, run them all stock, fit the exhaust then run them again, then you can find an average increase due to the exhaust only... But your plan looks good with the resources you are given... :D

Dude, I expect to arrive at an estimated sample size of n=5 per cell, that you have performed the correct power analysis using the mean difference and variability in power gains expected with the CES system?

If not, what kind of PhD student do you call yourself?

if he didn't fit it.. and you got some random dude to fit it, trevor is not going to give 2 ****s.. he makes the system and fits it and when he does everyone gets a gain..

No he didn't fit it. Don't you think that if he cannot guarantee gains unless he fits it, and he is unable to fit it, he should not sell it?

Also, what possible reason could there be for differences in gains due to whoever bolts it up to the cat? I would suggest that unless it was installed backwards or something completely incompetent, that the gains are most likely to be the same whoever the technician.

Wei Wei - you are right one the money. I am delighted with the system finally.

I shared my experience in what I believe was a ballanced and informative way. Whaqt people take from that is entirely up to them.

I feel that we all have a responsibility to keep this forum as free as possible of biased and blatantly promotional rating of equipment. Hence my finding it both strange and unnacceptable that Silver was so one-sided and defensive about this product and so completely unwilling to even entertain the notion that product is anything less than brilliant.

This one-sided presentation of opinion to me begs the question: What's in it for him?

i'll think you find that without brendan and craig, the cat back system from CES would never have been created or been in existance...

so personally they may take offence to theyre developed product being called a dud...

      RZN169 Poor fuel economy and low/rough idle at cold start up

      Hi all, First time writter. Long term reader. I have a RZN169r 1999 Toyota Hilux 3rzfe Manual 4WD with 425,000KM. Which we have owned from 130,000KM. Since about the 400,000km mark (it had a new/used 138,000km engine only, installed at 385,000KMs) it has been using fuel and idiling rough. I'm getting 100kms less then usual. We would normally get 450-550kms per tank. Now getting 350km-400kms. Our long term mechanic of 20 years retired a few years ago and I have no one in my local area who knows these engines or who I trust. Any sugestions on who I can take my car to? I also have no faith in my local Toyota Dealer. I'm in Sydney NSW. Thank you in advance.

      Purchasing 2014 Prado GXL - Requesting Inputs

      Hello, Thanks for reading my post. We're in the middle of the process of buying 2014 Prado GXL from a private buyer in Brisbane. It has 107K km on the odometer, we arranged an independent inspection and only noticeable issue came out of the inspection is presence of rust. Inspector said general wear (ageing) and rust to the components consistent with the age and mileage. I've attached some of the images(related to rust) from the inspection, please review and let me know if I should be concerned about any future issues or as the inspector mentioned is the rust presence is expected for a 10-year old Prado.       Hi there sorry for the late response, The reverse guidelines are on the factory camera itself (the guidelines are turned off on the Pioneer unit as it doubled up over the factory camera lines) and if I remember correctly they still retain the angle prediction. Everything else (excluding DAB) works***. But instead of using DAB I've downloaded RadioApp which has all of the DAB stations on it and is accessible by Android Auto (not sure on Apple CarPlay though) so no biggie. I also used an adapter to retain the original GPS antenna, works flawlessly. *** EDIT *** The info on the instrument cluster may or may not show, depending on what interface you end up using. In my case I've lost the audio and navigation info on the centre screen and fuel economy/vehicle customisation screens from the factory head unit but I'm not fussed by it as there are other ways to access them on a Kluger. I think it's all retained if you use iDatalink Maestro and a compatible head unit (it will be marked as such) but besides that and DAB all other functions are still operable.
