Toyota Expert need - Hilux Workmate Ute 2010 Engine/Head
Hello, Purchased a Toyota 2010 ute (petrol), all seemed great until one day I missed the temperature going up and the sweet strange smell of the coolant and the first I knew I was in trouble was when the windscreen had a shower of water/coolant as the radiator top had blown apart. I had a local mechanic suggest using the head/weld stuff, possibly not a great idea, it seemed ok for a while at least in terms of I could drive back and forth to work. I don’t use the ute much. We then found a metal pipe on the right side of the engine which was cracked and this seems to have been the what caused the problem all along. This was fixed and the vehicle seemed OK. I thought perhaps I had dodged a bullet and it was not the head gasket having blown or a cracked cylinder head etc. Recently noticed the tell tale vapour from the exhaust and also from the rear part of the engine (with the hood up). Now realise there is a major problem and I did not dodge any bullets at all. I have another different mechanic who is due to come and collect the vehicle on Tuesday and is going to replace the head gasket and the cylinder head for a quality aftermarket head. Now I am trying to find out if this is the right move. He is a good mechanic, recommended by trustworthy people, he mainly works on diesel motors. I cannot afford to spend thousands fixing the vehicle to only find that the base part of the motor is screwed and the vehicle really needs a new engine (wreckers engine). Is there any way to tell? It was making some horrible knocking sounds the last few times I drove it, probably should not have drove it the last few times, just did not have much choice. Hoping that after all this a new gasket and head will sort it out. Hoping some people who know what they are talking about can provide some sound advice. Appreciate your feedback/assistance. A 2022 hybrid rav4 will not warn you to red light camera locations is this a sim card problem or was it not part of the program.I have been told by dealer they did not have that feature !!! -

4lo flashing ABS,traction control, brake light stay on
Hi help needed I've a 2009 150 series prado and started the car and 4lo light is flashing , ABS , traction control, hand brake light stay. Tried taking batteries lead of for couple hrs nothing. Scan tool nothing. Batteries are good alternator is good ,looked all over terminals, earth leads all looks good, drives the same I've no idea -

Android auto not working Toyota corolla ascent sport hybrid
HI guys Recently I bought a Toyota Corolla ascent sport hybrid sedan 1.8l, but when I try to connect my android phone to the vehicle it doesn't connect to andtroid auto, android auto is not working. I know that the version of the multimedia unit is outdated and needs to be updated. Therefore I searched for multimedia software updates on the Toyota website with my vehicle's VIN number, but the Toyota website doesn't recognise my VIN number. My unit Model number is DCU 19TDT20C-EAP7 MEU 19TMT20C-EA02 I cannot find latest update files for this model. Please help me to find the latest update files for the above model. -

Please help Reverse Trigger wire harness for Camry Hybrid 23
Dear all I have a Camry Ascent Hybrid 2023 with standard version, 7 inch touch screen Fujitsu Denso FT0106B head unit. Today I removed the head unit and replaced with the Alpine ILX-F511A and connect the plugs by Aerpro wire harness. I connected all the plugs but there is a 28 pin plug does not have the wire harness from Aerpro cable. Everything is working except the reverse Camera. I connected the reverse trigger wire to Aerpro reverse trigger but the camera does not work when I change the gear to reverse position. I think this error comes from the 28 pin plug which is not connected. If someone knows which wire harness color and which pin is the car reverse trigger please help me with it. And the FM radio is not working too, I do not know which car wire color to connect the blue wire from antenna connector too. Thank you so much. -

rear wheel arch hole covers (3rd row seats removed)
I have purchased the rear seat hole covers for my 2024 fortuner and I am very pleased with them. It comes with all the necessary fixings. The plastic finish is a little different but it's ok. Very happy with the service as well. Nautia engineering in WA. -

Drive shafts
I paid $1200 ish to get a pair fitted to my aurion couple years ago. Thats supplied & fitted. Apparently it wasnt a fun job. Id get the mechanic to source the parts incase theres an issue in the future. -

FUSE BOXES ALLOCATION - 1996 SUPER CUSTOM Model (Import)
Hi All we have a 1996 Toyota Hiace Super Custom (Import), the Cigarette Lighter doesn't work & need to allocate the Fuse Box. if anyone can steer me in the right direction, would be greatly appreciated. -

Vibration through body (not steering wheel) under acceleration
Well, new tyres, a proper wheel balance seems to have done about 90% of the trick - the car now drives like it once did. The only thing is that a wheel bearing was called out as "completely stuffed" and as it is so bad, the only way to fix due to wear on the knuckle is to replace the whole thing. Quoted $600 for the repair and no parts for this until mid next week. Once this is replaced I will update if back to 100% or still more problems. I was thinking that the aftermarket CV shafts could be to blame - very glad this turned out not to be the case.
