Hi Everyone,

Just a quick question - hopefully someone will be able to help me.

I have a 2004 facelift corolla with the all-in-one remote and key. I am looking to program a new remote that I bought (used - off eBay). I am just wondering if it is possible to program the transponder to the car. The new key is from Britain.

My original key has two number on the actual transponder ( 60030 and 07F21) and the new transponder (50171 and 07G07).

Will this key's transponder work with my car? Also, does anyone have instructions to program the remote to my car?

Regards

Sam

check pm/

I bought one of these as well...

I took my key down to Mister minit... the guy was unable to program it cos it already had a car programmed to the transponder...

HOWEVER, he told me that I should try.. "ULTIMATE LOCKSMITHS" http://www.ultimatelocksmiths.com/ - they might be able to wipe the transponder and program your car into it.

the MM guy told me that the numbers on the transponder doesnt matter. what matters is the transponder chip itself...

If your original chip is 4C , your new transponder needs to be 4C as well... the dude told me mine are both 4C - so it SHOULD be compatible....

I haven't called the ultimate guys yet... I'll do it once i get around to it.

goodluck!

Thanks mate. I'm still working on getting it done.

Is it possible to code the remotes for the doors by myself? Anyone?

Thanks for the link, that's a handy website.

One thing though, on the instructions for the remote programming for the 2001- corolla there are two options - one for UK and one for Japanese built cars. Which one do I use? Isn't my car built in South Africa?
