OK so it's been about 6 months since i have bought my rolla & im lovin it

since that time i have noticed that the car idles to low and makes the car shake on park

i had a look today on were the idle screw is so i could adjust it but i could not find it anywere near the t.b

on my satria gti was a screw on the t.b so i thought its the same with the rolla

1. does anyone know if you could adjust the idle on the rolla ? if so were is the screw located anyone has any pics ?

2.what would be the correct RPM on adjusting the idle ?

any help would be great !

cheers...

there's no manual adjustment on the 1zz, it uses a PWM controlled idle speed control valve bolted to the bottom of the throttle body. These can become gunked up a bit if you use an oiled filter or have excessive blow-by. Clean it out with throttle body cleaner and compressed air, then do an ECU reset to re-learn the idle. Most 1ZZ's I see idle at around 700rpm.

Thanks for the reply, yeah I'm using a TRD air filter and i think its oiled ,OK il give the valve a good clean and also clean the air filter

how can i reset the ECU ?

remove the battery negative, jump in the car and hold the brake pedal down for about 30-60sec and reconnect the negative.

i am also experiencing the same issue.. so much so that I fear it may stall. I guess a service would fix the job.
