Hello I was wondering I just wired up my sub and amp to my head deck. Everything is working fine and all. I was wondering where people mount there amp for easy access. I want to have it where its not damaging the cars interior at all. I have a hatchback 06 ZZE122. The Sub I have takes up almost 3 1/4s of the boot which im not happy about but its a beast of a system, a lot deeper base then my Sony Xplod amp + SUB mind you it is 4 times the amount I spent hahaha.

I still havnt wired up my speakers yet as Im not to sure how to run them off the amp and wire them up never wired speakers off an amp before.

I was also wondering can you run speakers front and back with tweeters which I have purchased and a Sub off a 4 Channel Amp?

Parts Listing:

  • Sub: Clarion (model Numbers will be soon)
  • Box: Custom Ported Box
  • Amp: Option Audio 4 Channel (model Number OAC60)
  • Front Speakers: Pioneer with Tweeters. (model Numbers will be soon)
  • Rear Speakers: Pioneer (model Numbers will be soon)

Please let me know if you know anything about mounting amp and if you can connect all speakers off my 4 Channel Amp.

Hey man

Dont have a rolla so cant help you on the position of the amp, however no you cant run 4 speakers and a sub of a 4Channel amp. That is simply because that would equal 5 channels.

IMO i would use the 4 channel for the speakers and get a new mono for the subby. Or amp the fronts and bridge the rear two channels on the amp to run the subby with abit more grunt. Rears are generally just fillers anyway. sound stages are normally at the front coz thats where u are when driving.

Hope this helps.

My Advice Unless your headunit has 3- RCA pre-outs then don't bother running the speakers off the amp. I did this with my first set up and because my headunit only has 2 pre-outs (which means its only sending out the rear signal for the sub) so my whole system sounded sh!t.

If you headunit does has the 3 pre-outs then just run the sub and the front speakers off the amp...no need to run the back ones as they will be overpowered by the sub anyways, unless you have the money to buy another mono-block amp.

Hope that helps you a little.

Oh and I'm going to go against Hotwax and say that you CAN run 5 speakers off a 4 channel amp.

Channel 1 + 2 for the fronts

Channel 3 + 4 for the rears and bridge 1 + 4 for the SUB (depending on the quality of your amp)

true, but you will end up with interesting resistance across the total load, but as you said...depends on the amp

previously I screwed my amp onto my sub box... is that possible with your sub box? as long as its screwed on well it shouldnt create any problems.

my amp was screwd on top of this:

just makes things easier if you neeed to remove the lot in a rush.. just undo the wires!
