ZRE tanks are 55L and at least 80kg's odd heavier than the ZZEs.

Why, I cannot find any data on this, almost 100kg heavier.. where are they coming from

Comparing the three (all 1.8L manual)

ZZE122R (Ascent): 1118kg kerb weight.

ZZE123R ('03 Sportivo): 1224kg kerb weight.

ZRE152R (Ascent): 1275kg kerb weight.

Note: models higher than Ascent will be slightly heavier due to extra accessories etc..

Peter.

Where is the extra weight coming from, 100+kg is not small, also I also find yaris is way heavier than startlet..

Did toyota change their materials? How come so heavy....

One thing, the reason I bought zre154 because when I drive zre122, the car felt really unstable during driving 100km/h even sitting with 5 ppl, but zre152 is more stable to drive... is this my ilusion.. My feeling is based on driving rental cars, so no modifcaitions at all...Is this my illsuion?

How good is your eye sight? You are aware the ZRE Corolla is physically LARGER than the ZZE as well right?

2+ this. when i hopped in johnnieboi's/vinh's/shinobi's car. the space to stretch my legs was awesome! (yes i dont need much space because i am short, but thats beside the point!)

not only the physical size but safety features and electronics all add up as well. notice they even had to have a steelie as a spare to save some weight and costs. we zzes (sportivo not sure about levins) have a full alloy wheel as a spare. in track days we have to remove all the crap fro the boot and that would be around 100kgs and if ur to do that and drive around, i'm sure u'll get more mileage in a full tank ;)

of course the heavier the car, the more stable it is on the road

@ Kenshin X, i do believe it was 850k's, stupid typo!

im now approaching 550 with a little bit left b4 the fuel light comes on.

so as i said, about 600 @ fuel light which is good for the driving i do which is mainly city and residential.

As JC said on Top Gear "It's not what you drive, it's how you drive it. That's everything"

if your shifting around 6-8 every time you rev up your fuel consumption will be crap, but you'll get there fast with a big smile on your face :D

conversely, you shift between 2-3 and your consumption will be good

if not, there may be other problems which have been discussed at massive length throughout this forum.
