About to take delivery of my new KXR - just wondering what type of paint protection they typically come with from the factory/dealer? Should I put a good quality wax on straight away or leave it as it for a few months?

Well it wouldn't hurt to put wax on as soon as you get the new car. What wax are you going to use?

Our Graphite KX-S was two days old and we took it to Kangaroo Island for a week and got it very dirty.

Once we were back I used Meguiar's clay bar all over then polished with their NXT Tech Wax 2.

Very smooth. Pleased to see no damage from our week on KI.

Using the clay bar is so easy, takes about the time to polish the car and makes polishing so much easier as you start from such a smooth surface. Very satisfying to do.

paint protection is a scam. i'd do it as soon as u take it home. polish then wax. if u park it inside the garage or undercover. it will last u at least 6 months. :)
