2ZZ won't start.....need urgent help!!!!

Recommended Posts

Hey y'all, I am having a big problem

Yesterday, I took my car to the garage and after changing my radiator, we started the car and had it idling.

After about 5 minutes the car shut down inexplicably.

Attempted to start the car but it would not start.

Noticed that when the ignition was turned to the ON position there was no CEL light

This made us think that a fuse or relay was gone.

We checked all the fuses and they were fine

All the relays also seemed fine

We then proceeded to check the fuel pump and upon applying direct current to the pump we saw that it was working.

At this point we had the ecu checked and it was fine.

So now i am stumped.

Can anyone lend some logical insight as to what the problem may be?

Thanks

I somewhat get the feeling it isn't the starter motor. Notice in his original post, he mentioned that while the car was running, it just stopped after 5 minutes? This would lead me to think it could be something to do with maybe the ignition or fuel delivery system.

This may sound dumb, but by any chance did u do a oil change at the same time and forgot to put oil in? Is ya motor rooted? Lol

Q, can u turn over the motor by turnin the crank?

That's all I can think off, that and stated above fuel/ignition system, hard to say without looking at it

was it only the radiator that was changed or did u have a service done ? was anything else done to the car @ the garage ?

as has been stated maybe check to see that ur spark plugs are all ok and even that the coil packs are fine.

WRT fuel delivery maybe u could disconnect the fuel hose into the bay and confirm that u def have fuel coming into the bay ....... this is a bit messy so have some towels/rags handy that u dont mind throwing out.

a broken o-ring could also do this in the fuel pump housing ...... man there are a few things that could go wrong and really depends on what you guys did above and beyond the radiator change ...... as in theory that should not have had any impact.
