Hi Guys I know there is a lot of correspondence regarding GPS head units but I am considering purchasing one on ebay "Dig Options Road Vehicle AVN11TC" and was wondering if any body has purchased one of these units and are they any good, also where is the best spot to position the GPS aerial on my 09 Aurion Touring. Regards Happy

To answer you second question:

Positioning GPS antenna

Yeah, you are right in that it was mentioned before... but it was pretty well hidden. Anyways, here is my recommendation:

Mine hasnt found a signal yet, i might have to reposition the sensor

Put it in top of the inside of the dash, might need to move it further forward

it reads "NO GPS" in the bottom right of the screen when in navigation mode,

Is there any settings i may need to adjust?

A good place for the antenna is inside the dash behind the clock on top of one of the A/C vents. The no GPS error sounds like the unit isn't set up correctly. Try to enter the GPS setup within the program and make sure that COM port 2 is selected.

This is where my antenna is mounted. You can see it on top of the left vent. No issues whatsoever:

If you don't have tape you can shove it between the dash and air con piping to the left. That is where mine is and it works great.

P.S. I have had a dig options unit for over a year and it is already having issues, plus the unit comes with pirated software on it (which is normal) but then they try and sell you updates which are also pirate.

I really appreciate the feed back from you guys your a wealth of information, the reason I was considering this particular brand its (ebay)$469 delivered from Melbourne and it has a virtual memory to hold 6 Cd's but if this brand proves no good I will consider another brand Thanks...
