i was thinking of getting an apexi power fc for my stivo....

there average for $1,000 brand new

and around $600-$800 used ...

just wondering has any one ever installed one....

was the installation simple??

and is it worth it, performance wise and money wise..

the main reason i want to install a power fc is to make my lift kick it a bit earlier ...

coz 6,000 rpm can some times be way to high ...

im sure every one has though of this

just need to know can it fit

and does i work

not to sure if you can get a Power FC for $600-$800 ready to installed since the corolla needs a harness to run along with the stock ECU. the harness along normally goes for around the 400-600 mark its self unless you know a installer that will model the harness for you.

tuning wise you will probably looking at 120 an hr and should take somewhere between 3-5 hrs depends on the tuner.

its only really worth it if you have mods on your car e.g. full exhaust, headers (atleast ported), cai or short ram pod.

thats what i think anyways..

im sure many on the forum can give you more advice.

if the main reason is lowering the lift point, your wasting your money. as said above its only worth it if you have mods to maximise the potential of the mods. big money will have to be spent though...

To just drop the lift point its not realy worth it as total cost could be up to $1500 depending on who tunes it for you and if you run into any un for seen problems.

If your looking at modding such as cams after market throttle bodies ect then yea i would recomend it , I wouldnt realy call the power fc a plug and play device ive had it for a couple of months with the harness and still trying to figure out little issues here and there.

If you havent done intake and exhaust/headers i would do that first much more bang for buck over power fc.
