Hey guys, Im interested in buying some car parts from NZ.

I was quoted $295NZ to send it to a Sydney Port, which will probebly incur some customs clearance tariffs or something or other.

I was also quoted $399 to my door.

Im just wondering if anyone here has experience ordering things like this from overseas and how difficult is it to get things through customs without it costing an arm and a leg?!

No GST or Tarrifs if under AU1,000. Depending if its posted or freighted. If they use a freight forwarder, expect between 170-350 for their work. Post = no other costs. Get the delivery to the door option.

Thanks for the straight advice man.

Even after looking it up in Wikipedia it still sounds like the fees/taxes look to be pretty arbitrary.. I dont know.

Straight n simple door to door seems to be the way to go.. even if you gotta pay through the nose
