Hi I am eager to get a perfomance chip mod for my 1995 sx celica I have a full sports exhaust with extractors and a K & N Air pod filter so it seems the next thing to do would be get a good chip I have been looking at Punk Performance and they have a few different ones I want the best if someone can help me with which ones are good and the ones to stay away from. performance 'chips' for the most part are totally useless.

You could see limited gains with a piggy back ECU such as a g-reddy emanager

or slightly more with a full standalone (e.g adaprtonic) but on the 5SFE, there really is not a lot of point.

Don't bother until you do a LOT more mods. Most of those chips are a con to get your money.

Toyota ECUs normally aren't "chippable" in the traditional sense anyway. At minimum you'd need a piggyback ECU, but a lot of info points to the stock ECU learning its way around the piggyback (or at least fighting it) and then you're back to square one.
