June 2009 Aurion SX6. Lack of air flow from air conditioning. Cleaned filter but also found about a 4 litre ice cream container amount of dry leaves in the ducting above the filter. Can anyone advise where I find the air intake for the air conditioning. The leaves are full size gum leaves so they seem to have got past any grill/mesh. By the way, great improvement in the air conditioning since leaves removed.

Have a look at the passenger side of the car underneath the windscreen wiper. You will see a perforated section in the plastic there and underneath that behind a flap to prevent water ingress is the fresh air intake. Quite interesting how you got a lot in there because it is difficult (but not impossible) for leaves to get in there.

To get an idea of where the intake is, have a look at the following picture with the trim removed. You can clearly see it under the windscreen on the right:

Thanks for early and helpful response. I did try a manual on the Aurion air conditioning but with pages and pages of technical data a simple entry saying where the air intake is was a little too humble to make the publication. I thought it might be around the usual pelum chamber area but the grill there seemed to be sufficient to stop the leaves so I was wondering if the air conditioning intake was somewhere else. Any way thanks for that and tomorrow I'll be giving it a much closer look. I have some rats around the garage so maybe they have worked their way into the area (yet to be determined) with the leaves for a nest. Air is now working just fine, even with the 34 degree day we just had bteween Brisbane and Nambour.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but -- *noob question* -- is the Cabin Filter the same thing as the AC filter?

I'm looking through my Warranty/Service book for the 135k service and it talks about AC filter. But I suspect it's the cabi filter??

Cheers!
