2007 Aurion regular maintenance

Hi guys, I just bought a 2007 aurion ATX, which has LPG conversion. the car has always been serviced properly. last service was done in 80K and now its close to 90K.

my question is how often do I need to service? and how much it costs? where should I go, toyota dealer or 3rd party mechanics? the manual says servicing in every 7.5K. is it necessary?

and when is the major service coming up? 100k or after. do I need to change the timing chain?

any other tips/ tricks?

Hi mate congrats on the purchase. Not sure if the LPG conversion makes any difference but you only need the 7.5k service under severe conditions like harsh climate and alot of bumper to bumper traffic etc. Usual service interval is 12 months or 15k which ever comes first. I take mine to a local mechanic who I have known for years and have used on all my previous cars so I trust his work but its up to you where you go. Major service is at 90k by the manual which involves changing the plugs and can be a little expensive and not sure about the timing chain never heard of anyone changing it unless required.

Yeah the 90k service is a fairly expensive one being a major. The plugs are a mongrel to get to.

I need some floor mats. any idea where i can get the genuine ones for cheap? (checked genuine ones, $85-$110), any cheaper options?

should I buy rubber or carpet? and why would I go for genuine ones when i can buy the cheaper ones within $30? any particular benefits?

The genuine mats fit perfectly within the foot wells, the driver's mat is held in place by clips, and all mats are less likely to slide out of place.

If you are willing to part with $100, you may want to consider these tailored mats. These mats (of similar design) are available at Repco as well, which is sometimes have 20% off (yesterday). They have a a single long rear mat that covers the centre part, whereas the genune ones come as two separate pieces and does not cover the centre part.

Rubber mats are for people who like to get the cars muddy, as it is easier to clean, by just hosing it down.

Last servicing was done at 80700 km, its now 90K (I bought at 89.4K), should I go for a servicing?

what are your thoughts, mate?

Yes, you should get it serviced, as the service intervals are 15000kms. Also 90 000, is the 'major' service, where the spark plugs are changed, and some other stuff, if taking it to a Toyota dealer expect to be paying about $650 for the service, a majority of that price are the spark plugs.
