Does anyone feel the gearbox of Aurion is hot when driving?

Does anyone feel the gearbox of Aurion is hot when driving? I find my gearbox is a little bit hot when driving. I am not sure if it is normal. It doesn't happen to my Mazda 3.

i would say its his centre console he is talking about where the gear selector is located.

Most likely the globes that illuminate the center console is what is causing that to become hot ( if where talking about the same location )

Heh heh..I knew that question will come up..I wanted to when I saw this last night but I bit my finger.

Most likely that the shifter sits above the exhaust and there's some heat transfer.

sorry, yes, I am talking about the center console. So it is normal then? Cause I have driven a few different cars before but they don't have the same problem. I am just worry about this. Sometimes can get a bit hot (in summer).

For me its normal others like yourself pertray it as not normal.

I really dosen't worry me, anyone else have opinion to pass ?

Um... plastic gets hot in the sun. Hence its worse in summer. Tint your windows and put up a sunshade. Problem solvered.

Also, mine seems to be slightly worse since its been painted high gloss black acrylic then it was before I painted it. Perhaps something to do with the paint absorbs more heat. Or perhaps because summer in Tassie has been increasingly hotter each year lately. Or perhaps I'm imaging things.

ide say because its black, as black absorbs more heat.

Im in WA and the summers here aint exactly "just warm" a 40 degree day here puts the temp in the car well over 65-70 Degree's with tint and sunshades etc.

The heat from centre console is just...well heat....You cant change it as inside the center cosole is nothing so yea just gonna have to deal with it im affraid unless you uncover another alternative heat source ?
