I am looking to install a 12 inch sub in the Corolla (hatch) and I am trying to decide between an Alpine Type R or Type S or whether to go for the Type R thin (the rest of the speakers are Type R) and with regard to the amp whether to go for a 5 channel or a 4 channel and a mono (though that is addressed under a seperate topic). Headunit is currently the Follow Me II, I am waiting for the new Alpine models that are coming out mid to late 2012 (I don't like the lip on the 520, the 900 or the new 910).

Any help from those with knowledge would be appreciated.

I have boxed older 12" Type S, that fit neatly on the back of the 2/3 split seat in the ZRE.

I was more than happy with the output and bass. I found it did the job very well.

Ill sell it for 100 squids (with box) if your keen?
