Hi, bought year 2000 Toyota Camry V6 manual recently but needs new clutch soon according to RACV inspection.

Whats the rough cost? and should i get it done through Toyota?

When I last checked a new OEM replacement clutch from Exedy was around the $250 mark. Installation + labour was around the $600 area.

The job is a ***** to do and labour is a pain. I had mine changed at a Brake/Clutch mob but was letdown by some poor workmanship.

Thanks, guess i'll try to get quote from local Toyota since i don't know much about cars.

Genuine is going to be expensive. Get a quote from them but have a sniff around at your local brake+clutch/mechanic.

I am also looking at replacing a clutch for a 2001 Camry v6 (Engine 1MZ-FE, Model MCV20). What was the cost in the end and did you use genuine parts?
