Strange sound around turbo.

Hey everyone.

I have a 1992 GT-FOUR ST185 Manual.

The other day i noticed a strange gurgling sound comming from under the hood. I had just driven home from work, aprox 20 min, max speed 80km/h.

When i opened the hood the sound seems to come from around the turbo.

It has a new radiator, when it was cold i checked it at normal level.

Any Ideas ??

I will have a listen today when i go out for a drive.

because it may be that the radiator is boiling/the overflow is boiling.

My MR2 would do this too, I'm not 100% sure but I think that I was told it was the charcoal canister. A good way to try listen where it is coming from is use a large screwdriver, place it on parts of the engine that you think it might be and press your ear on the handle, you will be able to hear it better and hopefully narrow down where it is coming from.

Is there coolant in the radiator overflow?

I had a similar issue where the radiator cap was crap and kept making a bubling sound

Dont think its water boiling.

Radiator level fine and overflow is great.

Have cleaned out my Overflow bottle, no more sound. strange..
