Hi guys

today i went out and brought me a 1990 toyota corolla sedan SE90 for work only purposes. Although i plan on only using it for work purposes, i was wondering weather anyone else out there has fitted a aftermarket stereo to theirs. Obviously with it being a old car, was it also practical to replace the battery with a more powerful one?

If you guys could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

To what extent will you be upgrading the stereo?

If its just a headunit swap, and upgrade speakers (keeping them the same size as OEM), stock battery should suffice as long as it's healthy. If you're going to go all out, have 6"s in the front doors, and 6*9"s up back, all amped with a massive sub, then upgrading your battery would be a good idea.

Many people have done a headunit swap on these. You may find this link useful. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/51172-tutorial-wiring-up-a-cd-player-in-an-ae92-hatchback/
