Is it still under warranty? If so, take it back to the store.

nope  <_<

Give the unit a test.... get it running whilst its in a position to give a lightish tap to it and see if thats what is causing it?

ok heres some stupid questions but i need to ask this bcoze it is completely out of my league to be installing....

iv got a dvd monitor and a dvd receiver going in... where do i find the brake lead? what has every1 done to this brake lead if you havent installed it otherwise? iv heard you ground it to make the monitor function.

im using the monitor as a main so that i can control everything from there.? its wired up directly that way then goes into the wiring harness.

does the corolla have an inbuilt amplifier somewhere in the car? bcoze wen i use the wiring harness adapter in conjunction with the alpine headunit the speakers dont work wotsoever...
