So long story short..tried to remove the C-pillar to get the parcel shelf off and see if I could find what was rattling around, somehow managed to splinter the white plastic clip that goes into the hole. Now I can't get the damn thing back on and as stupid as I know it sounds, how can I go about this without an expensive trip to the dealer? :(

Whenever I have damaged those white clips, I get them from Supercheap Auto, take one in wiith you and they have a rotating rack with all sorts of them on it, 'Champion' is the brand and clip 'PP42' is the one that matches I am pretty sure, I got that code off an 8 pack of them I have but you can buy smaller packs. Hope that helps and it's why you can't get it back on.

I bought a few of the white plastic clips from spare parts a few months ago.

They were less than $2 each...
