i have an 87 ae82 corolla SOHC with a 4A(l)C carby motor . it needs shocks, and i am thinking of getting it springs as well. i live in Australia

i am having endless trouble finding a set (front and rear,or either) for this particular model.

Just wanting to know if any other shocks and springs will fit this car? like will the AE92 front and rears fit my car?

and are the shocks and springs meant to be quiet soft in these cars?i know thats what they are like when they are buggered, but i dont know if they are like that new?

And also do you know if the shocks and springs from overseas (japan, usa) will fit in the aussie types of these cars?
