Hi. I am considering having the windows of my Camry tinted. As the GPS and radio aerials are in the rear widow I was wondering if there is adverse affects to the Gps and radio. I would like to hear from members that have done it or know of the affects of doing same. Many thanks Tocag.

Should be no problem at all. It will not affect radio type signals at all..

My windows are tinted on my 2003 camry and I have no problems getting brisbane radio channels at Helensvale on the gold coast.

I think it depends on what kind of tint is used. There is a tint that contains metals, which may interupt radio frequencies but most places don't use that kind of tint.

That's what i've heard anyway

Thanks for your replies. I will have to make sure of the tinting contents Tocag.

My dad's car has 35% tint all around. He has GPS and dimming rear vision mirror. From what i've experienced, it doesn't affect the GPS signals. I've yet to drive his car at night though...

I have 20% tints on all my back passenger windows and rear window. From the outside, you can barely see inside of my car but. i can still see through them clearly from inside. So my guess is there won't be much difference to having both tint and dimming rear vision mirror
