Hi all

I am new to the forums and have just purchased a complete Trd Aurion engine bundle to do an engine swap

I am having trouble getting a part number for the all metal vvti pipe

So far toyota have supplied a trd fix kit which was just a rubber hose and clamps

Then they ordered a new pipe but this still has the rubber hose in the middle

Has anyone replaced their hose with all metal and is there a part number available

Thanks

No solid metal part. Only the rubber version as the TRD oil pipe routes differently and don't think they could be bothered producing a limited run of metal pipes.

Ok that's what I was thinking

Looks like I will need to order the lotus evora s part instead as it is all metal

Part you need is A132E0102F. £81.00 listed .

Picture shows old pipe but I checked Exige V6 and

it's picture shows new part but both list new part

number which is all metal pipe.

Cool that's what I need, pity Trd never released the revised pipe, seeing as the Evora uses the same supercharger setup , Toyota probably supply the upgraded pipe to lotus anyway

Probably because TRD Australia (the makers of the TRD Aurion) ceased to exist almost 2 years before the supercharged Evora S was released. In fact, TRD Australia stopped making cars before the the VVTi oil pipe issue really started gaining attention in Australia...

Hi ya.

I'm wrecking an '07 TRD (SL) in WA (should be finished by 27.08.14), so there are original TRD parts available ...

If anyone wants to send me an email bid for parts, read points 1 to 4 at the bottom of post #1 (current bid for brakes are at post #10) ...

The TRD Aurion VVT-i oil pipe routes differently to the N/A 2GR-FE VVT-i oil pipe. The revised metal pipe for the N/A Aurion will NOT clear the supercharger drive belt.

The solution for the TRD Aurion is the same as the original solution for the N/A 2GR-FE which was to replace the hose and clamps only. The all-metal pipe was not as a fix for the existing engines, but as a new part to be used on future produced engines. As such, this new all-metal pipe was designed for the N/A 2GR-FE.

I would not be surprised at all if the Evora S simply uses the same metal/rubber combination.

I have a few pics of the evora s and they all have an all metal pipe

Exige and Evora all use new metal pipe

Possibly very first Evora ' s used 2pc

pipe but all use full Metal pipe now

No problem . This is a design flaw and if I owned a

TRD Aurion I would order Lotus part. Big reason for

many fires in early NA versions of 2gr.
