I m driving a 2007 corolla zze122r with a 5speed manual, it is not very efficient with the 5 speed. I was thinking if I can swap the 5speed gearbox to the newer version corolla 6speed gearbox or any other suggestion?

you can swap in a sportivo ZZE123 6 speed to bring the cruising rev's down a little

direct swap. If the 6-speed doesn't have the speedo sender in it, you just swap the sender from the 5-speed box into the 6 speed.

Use the 5-speed mounts, shafts, clutch, flywheel, slave etc.

I'm doing this exact swap myself again in the next couple of weekends as soon as I get a few hours spare.

normal 6 speeds cost anywhere from $400-1K. I managed to get a damaged 2zz with box for $400
