Hi all

My 1988 corolla is playing funny buggers. My highbeam light on the dash will come on while the low beam lights switch is on but no lights (low / high) but then if I bang the steering wheel or flick it back, it fixes everything (normal low beam etc)

I noticed when i have the switch on parkers, and move the indicator stalk left to right a few times then leave it on the right and flick my headlights on, the high beam light comes on but cuts out all lights until i turn off the indicators

i know most of you would agree but should I change my indicator stalk ? its definitely something to do with the stalk as when the high beam light comes on (while no lights are on) and i bang the steering wheel it works.

sorry if i confused anyone

From the symptoms you describe, it does sound like there is either a problem with the stalk itself or the connection.
