Hello All,

I have a silver 2002 corolla ascent hatchback that was badly damaged
by a drunk driver when it was parked on the side of the road.

It's been in the garage for somewhere around 7 years, I've always
thought I would try and repair it (it wasn't insured and the drunk
driver left the country before anyone could chase him for money, there
were about 5 cars written off and property damage as well!).

It's done about 130, 000 km's.

My crafty plan is to get a 'compatible' corolla thats done a lot of
km's very cheaply ($1000 - $2000) and transfer the
engine/transmission/interior etc.

Does anyone have any hints, tips, warnings or other advice on this plan?

Thanks in advance,

Stuart

I would try to get the exact same model to make life easier and ensure all parts fit.
