Question.

I have a 2012 hilux SR which had a heap of dust in the instrument panel area after being on dirt roads. I cleaned out the panel and re connected but now the RPM needle when the car starts drops to the bottom and doesn't sit on zero

ive you tube and this occurs with other cars. I've spoken to Toyota and they say it doesn't happen to there cars. I had an auto electrician look at it when putting in some driving lights and they said they don't know

it actually works when you reve the engine. Just needs to be reset somehow to start at the correct starting point.

Does anybody have any ideas. Appreciate your thoughts.

thanks doug

If you touched or bent the needle,  you may need to open it back up and bend the needle towards the top end of the sweep or flatten the needle.
