Hi all,

I have a 2008 yaris hatchback, great car, but the headlights dont quite cut it.

I have fitted some driving lights, but have struck a brick wall trying to wire the lights in.

The basic wiring and relay I have done on several cars over the years, but this vehicle has me stumped.

Can anyone give me some guidance on which wire to use to get a +12 volt feed for tge relay (virtually no current or load) when the high beam is switched on.

I tried using the high beam wire from the headlight, as I have done in the past, but it appears that the wires to the headlights are all 12 volt, all the time, even with the ignition off and lights off.

It has me royally stumped.

Any guidance would be gratefully accepted.

Ps

Usually I woukd use the wire from the high beam switch on the stalk, but the wiring diagram I have is totally different from actual and even getting to the loom requires the dexterity of a contortionist.

I need a feed from under tge bonnet if at all possible

Thanking you in advance

Hello Stabicraft.

I am also having trouble wiring my 2007 Yaris hatchback with driving lights.

i have put in led S in my headlights and they are excellent on low beam, but not so great on high beam.

i bought driving lights from Kings 4 Wheel Drive with a wiring harness that is plug and play.  I have installed everything but when I turn the lights on it blows a fuse.

i watched their video and they said that some vehicles like the latest TOYOTA 4WD have negative polarity and to change some wise around as per their video.  That didn’t work.  Just turned the headlights to high beam and the driving lights still didn’t work.

after trying lots of different combinations of their wiring connection and blowing lots of 10 amp fuses, I am still no where.

can anyone give me advice.  It might also help Stabicraft.
