HI all :)

Looking to drain and replace filter in daughters Rav4 2004 ACA23R.

However from what I can tell there are two filter options, one being square the other not.  How can I tell, before I drain the Auto trans, which filter it has in it.  I've had a look at the outside casing but nothing there to tell me which one.

Thanks

Not a RAV4 owner but I would open the doors and check for manufacturer stickers on the body door opening. It should list vehicle details including the auto transmission model e.g. U140E/F. If this manuafcturer's sticker is not there, then check the glovebox.

Thanks for the reply and offer of help, this is a U140F, but that still does not help clear that up.

Looking on Supercheaps filters list I have two options still

So I am still stuck which one to get.

Here is the plate info if anyone is able to tell by that.

Any other ideas :)

Thanks

Looks like you will have to drop the transmission pan to confirm which filter shape is fitted. Parts suppliers may be able to determine from the VIN.
