2010 Kluger coolant replacement

Hi all,

Does anybody know if there are any written / video instructions on how to replace coolant in 2010 Toyota Kluger, please?

It's very easy to drain the radiator, but I would like to ensure that the engine is drained of all coolant as well.

Thanks

Milo

Have a look at this URL. A video is included in one of the posts.

This URL I have in my ready reference material.

To date, I have only removed the coolant overflow tank, given it a thorough clean then replaced the coolant. I have done this annually a few times but next time planning upon draining the radiator. Probably will not worry about undoing the engine drain plugs unless they can be easily accessed.

It is physically impossible to drain all the coolant from the block.
Here is what i do...
Turn the heater control to full heat.
Remove the overflow tank, drain and clean.
Remove the radiator cap and take the lower hose off the radiator and drain.
When empty reconnect and fill with clean water and run until thermostat opens.
Let cool for a while and drain again.
Do this a couple of times until water is clear/clean and drain once again.
Only use quality concentrated long life coolant, not the premix.
Refit the overflow tank and fill to the lower marked level with coolant mixed at the right ratio.
Put in enough concentrated coolant in radiator for your "total rated coolant capacity" and top up with distilled water (preferred).
Start motor and with the cap off increase revs to around 1000rpm and top up with water until level remains constant and put the cap back on before reducting the revs.
Go for a short run... couple of km and let cool and park on level ground.  When cool check level again.
