Exhaust rattling

Has anyone experience a rattle with their exhaust so far?

i've had mine on for 1 yr so far and i recently got this rattle

the rattle is loud when their engine is cold but as the engine warms up the rattle isnt as loud but u could still hear it. the rattle comes in at 2100rpm.

i've taken it back to livo exhaust and they changed the muffler for me at no charge.

but i still think im hearing things as if the rattle is still there

any help or info appreciated

Is it the factory system or aftermarket? If it's aftermarket take it back to who ever fitted it and ask for the problem to be solved. :D

its an aftermarket one.

yea i got it fixed its all good now

still think that i am hearing things like as if the rattle is still there but a very very soft rattle

maybe its stuck in me that i fink that its stil there

when they replaced ur factory muffler did they put the 2 springs into the new system? when i had the race pipe the 2 springs didnt fit onto the pipe therefore it rattled everytime i was in low gear

what 2 srings ? i dont think they put any springs into the system

but it never rattled for a whole yr til recently

The springs that the 2 bolts squeeze into to hold ur muffler from the axle back.

Look under ur muffler theres 2 bolts that hold it.

yea i have that ... always had it but it just rattled

they say something was loose inside the exhaust

but they ordered in a new one and fitted it already

so far so good ...

hopefully it doesnt happen again

still want to find the reason why it rattle

think i still hearing the rattle in my head

baffle probably came loose in the original cheap muffler.

my race pipe rattled heaps, because it was tapping on a metal plate, behind the axle-back flange connection towards the front of the car you see your exhaust piping just above a metal plate, remove it and the rattling will stop, thats what i did with mine :)

n1 is so quiet now compared to the race pipe

the metal plate above the piping is the heat shield. if u remove it what happens

it doesnt rattle no more cos i got a new muffler replaced

its got ten yrs warranty on it
