G'day, I've got a 99 ln167r hilux and need to replace the gearbox. My hilux has auto locking hubs and has the button to lock them on the 4WD gearstick.

I've found a second hand gearbox forsale which is also out of a 99 ln167r but The hilux had manual locking hubs and didn't have the button on the 4WD gearstick (as you lock them at the front wheels)

Im trying to work out if i can make the manual locking hub gearbox work for my hilux with auto locking hubs.. I'm not exactly sure on how it all mechanically works, any info would be great before I start pulling it all apart, Cheers 👍

Ive recently done this a month ago all you have to do is swap your transfer case over from the old box to the new one your running alot easier to do while the box is on a stand or on the ground
