Failed power seat switch - manual adjustment

Something thats bugged me about my wrecker sourced powered zr6 seats is the driver seat height adjustment has never worked..

Have narrowed it down to a faulty switch assembly which is near impossible to source without buying the whole seat. Using my own dpdt switch & running power straight to the motors only made it go up to max height & now i have a bigger problem haha.

Surely theres a way to manually adjust it but after a quick inspection it looks pretty daunting. Any ideas?

I couldn't see any way of manually adjusting height, so i tried the dpdt switches again, but this time instead of piggybacking into the circuit, i cut the motor plugs away from the factory loom....... And bingo, it all works, and i can adjust downwards without wires melting.

Obviously a replacement seat switch is needed, but this will do in the meantime

Thanks to the following page i was able to understand how to wire the switches up to the reverse polarity motors.
