Landcruiser 80series internal leak

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I’ve just purchased a 80series and I’ve noticed there was water dripping from what looks the windscreen down towards the floor. Is this worth sealing with a silicon type product or just getting the windscreen replaced? I’ve noticed a drip of water somewhere near the glove box compartment. Can anyone help with a solution?

I'm pretty sure your 80 series has the older style windscreen rubber seals as many of that era did prior to the windscreens being glued down with polyurethane. I'd get a windscreen guy to come out and reseal it before it causes more problems, ie, mould issues inside the cabin and potentially rust of the windscreen surround.
