Hello all,

Thanks for having me.

I have a question for members that I cant solve myself.

We have a 200 Series Sahara 2013 model and the headlight on low beam flicker which is driving us nuts.

I pulled the front off the car yesterday and could not find anything obviously wrong? No cut or frayed wires.

I am thinking its an earth problem but would be most thankful for any assistance from you all and if anyone else has had this problem.

Cheers for now

Ian

Hi, are there any driving lights fitted ?  Perhaps not correctly wired via relays ect.  This can cause your issue by overheating the lighting switch. Very high wattage globes can also cause your flickering.

No spottys, no light bar, all standard. 🤔🤔

It could be worth having a look if the earth wire is well connected, my son recently had an issue with a light bar on his 105, it started to flicker a little. After making sure the light was earthed better the flickering has stopped.

So I recon yours thoughts are correct about the earth wire.

Yep check battery terminals are clean & tight, earth strap, then the globe connections themselves, if you wiggle them & they flicker on/off then it would be at fault.

Ok after lots of guesswork and $1000 we have headlight that dont flicker anymore.

Globes and a ballast box were the problem.

So nice to drive with no flickering anymore.

Cheers all
